• Have choice and flexibility to achieve their vision on the Windows Azure Platform by not being constrained to writing in just one programming language or web application. Using the .NET Framework and Visual Studio development tools, Developers have the broadest range of choice of authoring and running websites, hybrid on-premises and cloud applications, web services, mobile applications, or a combination of everything.
• Control their environment and can specify their own performance standards while paying only for the resources needed for their applications. New Fabric Controller technology in Windows Azure provides developers with the ability to upgrade applications without interruption. Windows Azure includes tracing, logging, and monitoring functionality, giving insight into resource usage and performance.  
• Provide their own unique customer offerings by offering the foundational components of compute, storage, and building block services to author and compose applications in the cloud.
